Things That Make Me Happy.

Hi!

I enjoy watching YouTube videos and one of my favourite youtuber's is Carrie (aka, it's way past my bed time) [x] I really appreciate her outlook on life and the positivity that seems to beam out of her. Recently, I stumbled across her blog [x] and saw the post 'Thing's That Make Me Happy' and decided to do it myself.

The rules?

1. They have to be little things that I don't appreciate often enough or take for granted in every day life.

2. I have to fill the WHOLE page.

So here's mine:
I know not all the page is filled but I was in a rush (Sorry)!

I Hope you enjoyed this post and I would love to know what makes you happy!

Bye for now. :)

July Favourites.

Hi! I can't believe there's only a couple of days until August, only one more month and then i'll be moving into my uni house, exciting times! I thought I'd do a post on my favourite finds of July as there have been some particular favourites this month.

Coral Pink bag - I picked this up (brand new) from a charity shop for £5.00. It had never been used and was in perfect condition, I've been using this quite a lot, especially with this nice weather we've been having in England, the colour is perfect for summer.

Garnier BB Cream (Miracle Skin Perfector) - I have been absolutely LOVING this! I got the light shade and I just find it's so perfect to wear in this hot weather. The main thing that drew me to buying this BB Cream in particular was its "Combination to oily skin" promise, meaning it helps fight the oily skin look, and it really does. This is my go to product when its too hot to wear a normal foundation.

Soap & Glory SUPERCAT (Carbon Black) eyeliner pen - I have been looking to try a new eyeliner pen for a while now and I saw this post [x] which urged me into buying the Soap & Glory pen. I am so pleased I did, unlike pervious liquid eyeliners I have used that have a poor brush that runs out VERY fast, the Soap & Glory pen has a felt tip pen which makes everything easier. It's quick and easy to apply and drys super fast.

LUSH Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask - At first I was going to buy a face mask from The Body Shop but at £12.00 I wanted to save my money so I took a trip into Lush and got talking to a lovely girl that worked in there who suggested I try the Cosmetic Warrior face mask. I have relatively clear skin (because I drink FAR too much water) but I get so many blackheads on my nose, the girl at Lush showed me this product which "combats spots and soothes troubled skins" She told me she uses it herself and would definitely recommend it, so I got it. It is amazing, not only does it leave my skin SUPER soft, the blackheads on my nose have drastically reduced. I use it once every other day in my routine before I go to bed. It cost me £6.00 and you keep it in the fridge, it lasts 3-4 weeks. Admittedly, it does have a funny smell but it is so worth it (and half the price of the face mask from The Body Shop)!

I hope you enjoyed reading this!

Most Marvelous Purchases.

Baby Pink balloon top £8.00, Shot glasses £4.00, Star Trek coasters £6.50, Multicolour genuine leather bag £20.00, Floral picture frame £5.00
Hi! Recently I went into A Most Marvellous Place to Shop [x] and had a tiny bit of a spree, as I only visit when i'm home from university I didn't really hold back on my spending.

Baby pink balloon top - This top is perfect for spring/summer and the balloon pattern is just so adorable!

Shot glasses - I picked up these because they're different to most shot glasses you see and what kind of student would I be without them?!

Star Trek Coasters - I couldn't leave these behind. I had to add these to my collection of 'geeky' things.

Multicolour genuine leather bag - I've seen these bags so many times before in Most Marvelous and this time I decided to go ahead and buy one, I love the different colours and there's three compartments inside, so handy.

Floral picture frame - This cute picture frame is gold with blue gem stones on the flowers. I thought it was too pretty to leave behind and also, I'm looking for small pieces to put in my house i'm moving into with my university friends in September so this is a perfect addition.

Thanks for reading!

Favourite lip products

Hi! I thought I'd make a post on my favourite lip products. I adore lipsticks/gloss but find it so hard to find the perfect ones, here are a few of my favourites.

1. Nivea hydro care [x]  I'll start off with lip care. This is a long lasting lip moisturiser which works wonders! I always have it on me, it keeps me from having dry lips, it's super quick and smooth to apply and it even protects your lips from sun burn.

2. Limited Collection GLOSS (Antique Rose) [x] This too is a product that never leaves my bag. It can come on a little bit thick at times but this lipgloss is long lasting and perfect for a minimal make up look (which I always tend to go for during the summer time) It also comes in a cute shade of pink too.

3. AVON colour trend lipstick [x] This was given to me by a friend a while back and it's perfect for a night out. It's long lasting (even after a few drinks) and it doesn't tend to smudge. The only down side to this product is that it takes a while to apply it properly.

4. Rimmel London Kate Lasting Finish (Kate Moss collection) [x] This lipstick is AMAZING it literally lasts all day without having to reapply it. It's perfect for everyday wear. I got number 22 which is Rouge and it even smells slightly of cherries! This is my favourite lipstick I have ever purchased and I would definitely recommend adding something from the Kate Moss lipstick collection to your makeup bag!

I hope you enjoyed reading! What are your favourite lip products?

Bye for now! :)

Summer Shoes

Two blog posts in one day? I'm definitely not distracting myself from doing EVERYTHING that I should be doing (whoops) but here are my favourite summer shoes!

Shoes - Newlook £24.99 Socks - Topshop £3.00

These sandals are so easy to style and are SO comfortable! I think they're really simple shoes but look very stylish.

Sandals -  Primark £14.00
These sandals have already been in a post here. I am IN LOVE with them. Again, very comfy and these can be worn on a night out too.

Shoes - Newlook £20.00

These wedges are VERY high but they are gorgeous! Perfect for a meal out or for a summer party.

And of course some basic Primark sandals are a must! Comfy, cheap and easy to style... What more could you ask for?!

Let me know your favourite summer shoes!

Bye for now. :)

Jewellery storage.

Hi! This is just a short post on jewellery storage. I find myself buying so much jewellery but having no where to put it, so these are just three places I store my Jewellery.

Storage box - £8.00 Wilko

I found this lovely storage box in Wilko a few months ago. The sweet floral bird design is what first caught my attention and when I saw it was little compartments I liked it even more. This is so handy to keep things neat and tidy and it really clears some desk space!

Jewellery box - Most Marvellous Northampton

This was a Christmas present given to me a couple of years ago and I absolutely ADORE it. It's so handy and can fit SO MUCH jewellery in it. There's three layers and each one is quite deep, which means more storage space. I also like that when it's closed it looks a bit like a puzzle box, just waiting to be opened and explored! It's from A Most Marvellous Place to Shop which you can read about here in my friend Sunaina's wonderful blog!

I use this gorgeous mannequin jewellery stand just to hold any extra bits and pieces I have laying about that can't fit in my other jewellery boxes. It's such a lovely piece and it really can hold a lot of things! This was a gift from my gran many years ago so unfortunately I have no idea how much this was or where its from but you can see similar ones here.

I hope you found this interesting and I would love to know how/where you store your jewellery!

Bye for now! :)

Mini Shopping Haul

Hi! Recently I went to Birmingham and had a browse around the sales and i've also popped into a few charity shops around town so I thought I would share some of my recent purchases!

Socks - £6.00 Topshop, Shoes - £14.00 Primark

I picked up these adorable bunny socks in Topshop, the back of the socks have little bobbles for the tails and I just can't get over how cute they are. These are also perfect for the festival season as they can be worn with a pair of wellies.

Backpack - £15.00 Topshop

This backpack was reduced from £35.00 so i'm pretty pleased with this buy! it's a perfect backpack for any day out, its very lightweight and has lots of pockets to keep bits and bobs in!

Crop top - £9.00 Urban Outfitters.

This cute heart top I found in Urban Outfitters for £10.00 in the sale then I got an extra pound off with my NUS card (Yay student life)! This top is so cute and summery and can be styled so easily I also think with the right bottoms it could be worn on a night out.

Spider - Man crop top -£5.00 Primark

If you know me then you'll know why my face is pure happiness! I LOVE Marvel and all things superhero so finding this top just made my day. Again a top that is easy to style and perfect for summer.

Onto my charity shop finds now! This lovely dress is from the British Heart Foundation charity shop. I picked it up for just £3.00! A lovely bright spring/summer piece.

I've been looking for a leather backpack for some time now and I picked this up for just £4.00 from a local charity shop. Its made up of three different colours and the straps can zip up and be turned into a shoulder bag, so essentially I got two bags in one (yay)!

I got a few other bits and pieces but i'll save them for another blog post! I hope you enjoyed reading this and I would love to hear feedback!

Bye for now. :)

My favourite books.

Hi! So I recently went on a book shopping spree, which urged me to want to go back and have a look through my favourite books, I thought I would share and recommend them on here too!

1) The book of Lost Things - John Connolly

This book took a while for me to get into but when I did, I was hooked! Its an amazing tale about a boy that finds a secret world at the bottom of his garden during WW1 times and gets stuck there. In the real world he used to be able to connect with books and even hear them talking. The story follows him trying to get back to his father, step-mum and baby half-sister. The tale is gripping and I enjoyed it very much.

2) Death Note - Tsugumi Ohba

I love manga and anime so I couldn't have this post without at least one manga book, Death Note. There are a series of these books, which are in Japanese comic form. The story follows Light Yagami, who picks up a note book (Death Note) which has instructions on how to use. The books have characters that make you laugh and stories that are VERY clever (There's kind of a Japanese Sherlock in the book too, yay!) If you were looking to start reading manga I would definitely recommend Death Note as a starting point.

3) The Perks of Being A Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky
THIS BOOK!!! I love it SO MUCH! The story (for me) is so relatable and I absolutely love how the book is just a series of letters to a mysterious person, of whom we never learn anything about. I think this book has at least one character someone could relate to which is why I think this is a perfect book for any teenager to read.

4) The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Mark Haddon
I read this book a few years ago but the story stuck with me. This book deals with many different themes and relationships and has a unique style to it which I just adore. The story is very beautiful and I believe this has been turned into a production at the theatre (which I would LOVE to see).

5) Billy and Me - Giovanna Fletcher

This book has wonderful characters, a very lovely setting and a beautiful story. I adored this book from start to finished and I literally could not put it down! There are many twists and turns which keep you engaged and the main character, Sophie, is just someone that you want as a friend! A very lovely tale.

I have a few more favourite books but I shall keep them for another post! I hope you enjoyed reading this.

What are your favourite books? Let me know!

Bye for now. :)
