Glastonbury 2015

Hello!

I admit I am late in writing this post, but as I sit scrolling through the internet listening to my Glastonbury playlist I thought I would write a post sharing my first ever Glastonbury experience.

Glastonbury is most definitely the happiest place on earth, I have never seen so many smiling faces, even the pouring rain couldn't get anyone down. For me, being there was the most surreal thing. I've watched Glastonbury for so many years on TV longing to be there and then there I was with my tent pitched with my best friend with a view of the legendary pyramid stage! The size of the festival is incredible and the amount of stuff to do is crazy, you could definitely go the whole four days without seeing any music acts at all, imagine that though, going to a music festival and not seeing anyone!

Here are some tips if you are thinking of going to Glastonbury next year:

- Register now! You need to register on the Glastonbury website and submit a picture that needs to be approved... This picture will be on your ticket.
- Plan ahead. Make sure you buy all your necessities in plenty of time, you can buy most things at the festival itself but then be aware you'll be paying festival prices (aka EXPENSIVE!)
- Take plenty of money. Food and drink at festivals are always expensive and then you need to take into account any trinkets you want to buy or if you want to go for a massage in the healing field (which are AMAZING)

I'm going to write a checklist before festival season next year so look out for that!

Thanks for reading!

Have you been to any festivals? What was your experience?

Bye for now! :)

The lob

Hi!

As someone who rarely gets a haircut (oops) and usually has fairly long hair getting a haircut is a big deal for me, normally only ever getting cut off the least amount as possible not wanting to loose my long locks. However, recently my long hair has been such a hassle and it was getting very unhealthy... So I jumped into the deep end (well for me anyway) and got myself a lob! Here's the finished result...

I completely love it! Now my hair is SO soft and healthy and very easy to maintain.

Thanks for reading this short post, be back soon!

Bye for now.

Greetings 2015

Hi!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and welcomed the New Year in style. I wasn't sure what I wanted my first post of the new year to be, sat in the staff room at work yesterday afternoon I decided to write a list of posts I want to write in the upcoming months. I ended up writing over three pages of ideas to blog! I'm so excited to get back into the swing of blogging!

Today I just wanted to share my resolutions for this year I have two which I believe will benefit me in so many ways:

1. Work harder - Over the past few years I've become far too lazy with my work, not only school (well, university now), sometimes I get lazy with my blog too which annoys me because I just LOVE writing and sharing things on here. Also, I found myself slacking at work too. I decided to change this and work harder, work harder to achieve my goals, get brilliant grades, motivate myself to work hard at my job and blog more. In the end hard work pays off, right?

2. Say "Yes" more - Frequently I find myself declining invitations to going out, whether it be to the pub, cinema or even just to a friends house and I say no. Sometimes it's anxiety but most of the time, yet again, it's just me being lazy. I don't want to be that person that stays in all the time and doesn't see anyone out and about. By saying "yes" more I feel I'm being far more open minded and positive towards life.

I think making resolutions each year is a wonderful thing. Make ones that you don't think you'll stick to and then be impressed when you do! You're life is what you make it, strive to make yourself and others around you happy.

What are your resolutions?

Bye for now. :)

Taking a step out

I've never mentioned this on my blog until now, I suffer from anxiety. It's a horrible thing to suffer from, especially when people just see you as 'happy' and 'bubbly'. However, there are a few small things I try to do each day to help myself and try to overcome this anxiety, I thought I would share these on my blog incase it could help others.

1. Leave the house at least once a day. This may sound silly but in the past there were weeks, even MONTHS when I didn't leave the house but now I motivate myself, whether it be for lectures, meeting up with a friend or work. Just leaving the house, seeing the outside world once a day has really helped.

2. Join a society. This is more for if you're at university. Joining a society may seem like a terrifying idea however, meeting new people who share the same interests and passion as you really helps. I joined the anime, comics and gaming society at my university and I have met so many lovely people, and made some wonderful new friends. Also, you don't have to do this alone, I joined the society with friends.

3. Do something once a day that's out of your comfort zone. This sounds a bit overboard however my comfort zone is VERY small! By this I mean calling people, going to a friends house. More recently, I have tried to help at least one stranger a day and the kindness of people really helps to settle my nerves.

4. Talk to someone. If i'm ever feeling anxious or down I now ALWAYS talk to someone, I used to bottle everything up and make myself feel a hundred times worse, talking to someone is incredibly important.

These are a few of the things I try to do each day. Anxiety is awful but if you try making your own goals like this, it too could help you.

Eye Shadow Palette's

Cashmere Eye Shadows - £6 Next
Barry M Super Shadow & Primer Palette - £6.49 Superdrug
Hi!

I've been really eye shadow crazy at the moment, I love mixing and blending colours together to make unique styles especially during the festive season with all the Christmas parties!

I'm super happy I found this eye shadow palette in Next, it's the same colours as one of the Urban Decay range but so much more cheaper! The eye shadows last all day without needing to be refreshed and the colours are wonderfully pigmented.

The Barry M eye shadow palette comes with a primer however, this primer is disappointing. It crumbles and leaves the eyeshadow to look tacky. On their own, the eyeshadows are beautiful, there's a lovely range of colours including a sparkly golden shade perfect for party season. High street eye shadow palette's are definitely getting better and I am becoming more impressed with them each time a try a new one.

What are your favourite high street eye shadows?

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now. :)

Been away a while.

Hi!

As you've probably noticed I've been away from blogging for quite a while. I had to take a break as I just had a huge amount of university work, filming, editing, pitching, building sets, travelling! Also, at the weekends i've been busy at work, I decided to take a break until I was able to get my work into flow and work out how to balance university work, a job, a social life and my blog! I've finally made a plan therefore... i'm back!

Where have I been?

Follow me on Instagram ! I post pretty much everyday of what I'm up to / where I am. Take a look at my Twitter too.

In November I had the opportunity to go to Amsterdam for the IDFA (International Documentary Film festival Amsterdam) the documentaries I watched were incredible and Amsterdam itself was a beautiful place.

Just a few snippets from Amsterdam! Let me know if you'd like a full post on the trip!

So that's it really, sorry for being away for so long but now I shall be back to blogging every week (hopefully more than once a week)

Bye for now!
